Anxiety and OCD Therapy for Teens and Adults
Anxiety can make it difficult to feel present, trust yourself, or enjoy your life—even when you appear calm and capable to everyone else. You may find yourself overthinking conversations, preparing for every possible outcome, seeking reassurance, or avoiding situations that feel uncertain.
OCD can also involve distressing intrusive thoughts, checking, reviewing, researching, confessing, or trying to achieve complete certainty. These patterns may provide temporary relief while keeping anxiety and doubt alive.
THERAPY CAN HELP WITH
• Chronic worry and overthinking
• Intrusive or unwanted thoughts
• Relationship OCD
• Moral or religious OCD
• Reassurance-seeking and checking
• Perfectionism and fear of making mistakes
• Panic, avoidance, and difficulty tolerating uncertainty
• Social anxiety and fear of judgment
HOW WE MAY WORK TOGETHER
Therapy is tailored to your specific needs. Depending on what you are experiencing, our work may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, DBT skills, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and attachment-based or relational therapy.
We may work on understanding the patterns maintaining anxiety, responding differently to intrusive thoughts, reducing compulsive behaviors, and building your ability to tolerate uncertainty. The goal is not to eliminate every uncomfortable thought or feeling, but to help you feel less controlled by them.
I provide telehealth therapy for clients located throughout Florida and Minnesota, as well as walk-and-talk therapy in St. Petersburg and nearby areas.
If you are ready to feel more confident responding to anxiety or OCD, I invite you to schedule a complimentary 15-minute telephone consultation.
