Trauma, Grief and Emotion Regulation Therapy

When you have experienced trauma, loss, or overwhelming emotions, it can be difficult to feel safe, grounded, or fully present in your life. You may understand why you feel the way you do and still find yourself reacting in ways that feel confusing, intense, or hard to control.

Grief and trauma can affect your relationships, sense of identity, ability to trust, and connection to your body. Therapy offers a compassionate place to understand what you have lived through without judging the ways you learned to survive.

THERAPY CAN HELP WITH

• Trauma and painful past experiences

• Grief, loss, and major life transitions

• Difficulty regulating intense emotions

• Feeling numb, disconnected, or emotionally overwhelmed

• Shame, self-criticism, and difficulty trusting yourself

• Relationship patterns connected to attachment wounds

• People-pleasing, perfectionism, and fear of conflict

• Building greater safety, resilience, and self-compassion

HOW WE MAY WORK TOGETHER

Our work will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. Depending on your needs, therapy may draw from Internal Family Systems, attachment-based and relational therapy, psychodynamic therapy, DBT skills, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches.

We may explore how past experiences continue to shape present-day emotions and relationships, strengthen your ability to stay grounded during distress, and help you respond to yourself with more understanding and choice.

I provide telehealth therapy for clients located throughout Florida and Minnesota, as well as walk-and-talk therapy in St. Petersburg and nearby areas.

You do not have to carry painful experiences alone. Contact me to schedule a complimentary 15-minute telephone consultation.
